For independent distributors

There's money stuck in your building. We build the software that gets it out.

We read the data your business already produces, find where the money's leaking, and build the exact tool that stops it.

Diagnostic: flat fee · Build: fixed price, agreed before work starts

The leaks

You already know something's leaking. Here's what it usually looks like.

  • Stale pricing

    The 2019 price

Copper moved in March. Lumber reprices weekly. Part of your price file never caught up.

You're now paying that customer to buy from you.

  • Dead stock

    The top shelf

Valves bought for a 2022 job that fell through, counted at every inventory since.

It's not inventory anymore. It's money you already spent, sitting where nobody can use it.

  • Slow quotes

    The quote that sat

A contractor emailed an RFQ Tuesday morning. By Thursday he'd bought from the supply house across town.

And he'll start there next time, too.

  • Order entry

    The retyping job

Your best inside person spends half the day retyping emailed POs, line by line.

That's sales wages spent on data entry.

  • Aging AR

    The invoice nobody chased

An invoice at 74 days. Not disputed, not shorted, just nobody's job to call.

It gets less collectable every week it sits.

None of it shows up in a standard report. It shows up once a year, as a bottom line smaller than it should've been. That's the money we go find.

The proof

The proof is a working product, not testimonials.

Every screen below is the real product, running on realistic demo data. And every one ends in something you can act on: a price sheet, a transfer file, a quote.

Margin intelligence

Every customer priced below where they should be, with the dollars attached.

Sorted biggest first, with the corrected price sheet one click away.

Margin Intelligence: estimated annual margin recovery across underpriced accounts, with a price sheet button per account

Ask Distill

Type a question the way you'd say it out loud.

Plain English over sales, inventory, vendors, and quotes; say "build a dashboard of…" and get one.

Ask Distill: a plain-language question generating a margin, customers and dead stock dashboard
Realistic demo data

Dead stock

What's been sitting, how long, and what it's worth moving.

Every dying SKU matched to the branch that still moves it, transfer file built. Cash off the shelf now.

Dead Stock: matched SKUs with dollar values and an ERP-ready export
Realistic demo data

Purchasing

Reorder suggestions built from what actually moves.

Days-of-supply math and carton rounding, not a min/max somebody set in 2018.

Purchasing: vendor-by-vendor buy recommendations across Charlotte Pipe, Viega, Watts and NIBCO
Realistic demo data

Quoting

A contractor's emailed parts list, priced before he's back in the truck.

Paste the request as it came in; it comes back priced for that customer, ERP-ready.

Quoting: a pasted customer request, copper pipe, PVC, brass ball valves, ready to match and price

What we build

Distill is the starting point. Your mess is the job.

One pain, one tool that kills it.

The chore The build

Your inside person retypes emailed POs all day.

A PO-reading agent that drafts the order for your person to check and post.

Vendor cost files land in an inbox and sit there.

A cost-file updater that flags which prices need to move, and by how much.

Quotes take hours because someone's digging through history.

A quote assistant that puts last price, current cost, and target margin on one screen.

Old invoices age because chasing them is nobody's job.

An AR chaser that drafts the reminder and tells you who to call today.

You bought another supply house. Now there are two price books and two inventory files.

One merged price book and one stock list, reconciled and ready to load.

Something else entirely.

If the fix is software, we'll scope it. If it isn't, we'll say so on the call.

You don't need a 12th system. You need the leak fixed.

The engagement

How an engagement works. Every term in writing.

We price the work, not the seat count. You'll have one fixed number before anything starts.

The difference

You've bought software before. Some of it nobody opened after month two.

We built this business around not being that.

Ferguson has a data team. The roll-ups buying up your competitors have data teams. Now you've got one too, and we only work your side of the counter.

  • Keep your ERP. We read the exports it already produces. Nothing gets migrated.
  • Nobody has to adopt anything. The diagnostic is a written report, not a rollout.
  • One team accountable. The people who scope your build write it and answer when it breaks.
  • Weeks, not quarters. If a build can't ship in weeks, we won't sell it to you.
  • You own it outright. If we part ways, everything keeps working.

Who you're talking to

The people on the call are the people who build it.

A small senior studio, one industry: independent distributors. We built the platform on this page to prove the work, and we cap the client list. You talk to the engineers who wrote your software.

The fine print

The questions an owner would ask.

Q.01 Do we have to change our ERP? Is this an IT project?
No. We work from a few exports and an hour of someone's time, spreadsheets included. No migration, no server install, no connector project sitting between you and the answer.
Q.02 Our data's a mess. Half the fields are wrong or blank.
That's normal, and cleaning the file is part of the job. Send it as-is; if it's too broken to read, we tell you that plainly before anything else happens.
Q.03 My guys won't touch new software. They barely use what we have.
The diagnostic isn't software your team has to adopt. It's a written report to you, and anything built later is built around how your people already work.
Q.04 What happens with our data?
A few read-only exports; nothing connects to your ERP and nothing writes back. We sign an NDA first, there's no reselling and no training on it. Want to start smaller? Send one branch.
Q.05 What happens to our software if Distill goes away?
You'd still own everything: code, data, logins, docs any developer could pick up tomorrow. That's in the terms, not a promise on a call.
Q.06 Other vendors promise margin points. What do you promise?
Nothing up front. Promised points are marketing; the diagnostic computes your number from your own transactions, and you keep the findings either way.
Q.07 What if you look at our numbers and there's nothing there?
Then you get a clean bill of health, in writing, and you stop wondering. That's worth knowing too. It's a small industry and our name's on the work.

The next step

30 minutes with the people who build it.

No proposal deck. Nobody calls you Tuesday to circle back.

What happens on the call

  1. You walk us through how orders and quotes move today, and we show you Distill on realistic data.
  2. If we can help, you'll know what the diagnostic covers and costs. If we can't, we'll say so.
